Recycled Shipping Container - Floor Sealing

There is a popular web site (click here) that relates how someone converted an old shipping container into a rustic cabin. Special care was suggested regarding sealing the wood floor which might contain unhealthy chemicals contaminating the wood.

The fix was to completely seal the wood floor (also fixing, chips, splinters etc.) at the same time using a solvent free, odorless epoxy resin system.

Happily the container owner used our Low V epoxy and recommends it to those following in his footsteps.

Low V epoxy is a thin, watery, clear, solvent free/odorless epoxy that will even bond to damp surfaces. A 1.5 gal kit covers about 150-175 sf. As an alternative (although not mentioned) is the option of using our solvent free floor epoxy (comes in light gray or beige) instead of the Low V epoxy. Note that the Low V works with damp or high moisture level surfaces, but not the Industrial Floor Epoxy. The floor epoxy also comes in 1.5 gal units with similar 150-175 sf coverage. Apply one or two coats. A short nap roller is recommended for application.

- A top problem solving coating - best seller

Apply these two part epoxies to a clean wood/metal floor working in 10-15 minute batches using a short nap roller.

TO: info@epoxyproducts.com

Hi, I train spray painters in Queensland Australia the technical aspects of Polyurethane paint. However some people just can’t get the difference of the two major types. Polyester vs Acrylic. I would like to use your excellent discussion paper in my training as an unbiased view and give credit to author Paul Oman and your company. http://www.epoxyproducts.com/lpu.html
